Las Vegas Vacation – 1 Trip / 2 Hotels

Wynn Las Vegas Hotel
I’m starting to plan my next Las Vegas vacation and I had a great idea.  We normally stay at the north end of the Las Vegas strip and we love it there, but this time we’re thinking of splitting the trip into 2 mini-vacations.  We’ll start out on the north end at Wynn Las Vegas Resort and then after 2 nights of fun up north we’ll move to either the Luxor on the south strip or the Golden Nugget downtown.

This is going to be great!  Two Las Vegas vacations in one!

I figure it will cost us a few hours of vacation time to make the move, but it really will be worth it.  After a couple of days in one Las Vegas hotel we start to get comfortable and it feels like home….and some of the excitement is gone.  Two days and two nights is long enough to get out and about to all the nearby hotels, casinos, restaurants, clubs and sightseeing attractions.  So once our first little vacation is complete, we’ll pack up our bags and move on out to our second vacation.

We’ve never stayed at the Luxor or the Golden Nugget, so this will be a new adventure.  I haven’t spent more than an evening in downtown Las Vegas, so if we decide to stay downtown at the Golden Nugget it will be a whole new world – the Fremont Street Experience, THE Golden Nugget (the Hand of Faith – largest in the world?), Glitter Gulch.  If we decide on the Luxor, we’ll be right next to Mandalay Bay with their cool Shark Reef, and just down the street from the Manhattan Express Roller Coaster at New York-New York.

If you’ve ever split up your Las Vegas vacation and stayed at two hotels on the same trip, please leave me a comment and tell me about it. Any tips or advice?

Two Las Vegas vacations in one!!  Why didn’t I think of this before?
